Radiator Recovery system

Gang,
Gotta tell you about this. Not many things I do actually work, so when I run across one, I like to share. I just got through installing a coolant recovery tank on my 57. Bought the tank from NAPA, eight bucks. Mounted it between the windshield washer bag and the headlight electrical connection block. It fits in that cubby hole just perfect. ( I can still get to the power steering fill cap ). Fastened the hose with clamps to the tank and the other end to the overflow tube on the radiator.
My radiator ( stock configuration, four row ) has an expansion chamber in the top. It held two more quarts of antifreeze when I filled it up to the top. I also use a seven lb. pressure cap now since I blew out the tank seam of the radiator with a fourteen lb. cap earlier this year.
Started the engine, let it idle 20 minutes (20 minutes will make that 390 get hot). Then shut the engine off. Antifreeze started bubbling in the tank. I thought it would overflow. After about 10 minutes, low and behold it started emptying the tank back into the radiator. I couldn't believe it, the damn thing actually worked. After it cooled I removed the radiator cap and the coolant was all the way to the top of the radiator.
Conclusion: I should be able to run two more quarts of coolant and keep air out of the coolant system at the same time. Hopefully this will increase my cooling effectiveness. It don't look bad either.

Jim...
What is the part number of that tank?  It sounds like something that I should have for my 57.   Is there any chance that you could email me a  picture of if?
Thanks Jay

Jay,
The part no. is BK 7304514. I think it's the only one they sell. The price is 7.95.
