57 tailpipes

  The drone from my exhaust is driving nuts, the mufflers end at the rear axle. I was thinking of using or trying 68-70 Torino/Fairlane tailpipes and maybe just tweaking them a bit if they needed it. Anybody ever try anything like this?

I thought of that but wouldn't they hit the housing when the rear end drops? About how much clearance do you have ?
