nice! I really like my Fairlane all black, but considering going white on top. BUT I don't know what to do. Because I also like the all black like yours is.

Love the hood, gasman!

Is the scoop "functional"?

Looking forward to some video of a drive and a burnout.

The mid50s really nailed the color scheme with the two colors...white over whatever.  I considered the white over black but went with a 'darker' look with less chrome and tinted windows.  The hood is more for room but is also functional.  I 'ported' on the metal for quite a while to open it up.  No ram air just fresh air.  Needed a little more room for the Webers...

As my grand daughter always says when she sees a car that she really likes.  SWEET! Except somehow she says it and you'd swear its a much longer word.

I too am waiting for video of first run, etc...

If it won't fit, force it.
If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway.

Three coats of PPG DBC9700 base and five coats of DCU2021 clear over PPG NCP Primer Surfacer wet sanded with 400.

Long ways from the Earl Scheib $9.99 paint job.  Just the paint materials consumed nearly $2000!

Now a little wet sanding with 600, 1000, 1500, 2000 and then buff.

Now THAT is a car!  I love it, the black looks incredible on it.  Super awesome job, gasman...

Everything is looking great Gary...I didn't have enough faith in my bodywork to go black. Is that single stage, or do you know what you're going to be doing for the next two or 3 weeks (blocking and buffing)?
Rich
opps..missed your materials usage post...LOL..I'll be curious to see if you still use the adjective "little" (sanding and buffing) when you're done.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Nothing looks better than mile deep black paint!
