Am replacing all of the control arm bushings and whoever did it last was not very fussy as to the proper depth to press the bushings is .  It looks like the bushing sleeve should protrude 3/4 of am inch to the outside of the control arm. does anyone know of the actual spec. for installing these bushings?  The easy way would be to use the old ones as a sample but no two of mine were in the same    Thanks.

If I remember correctly there are raised 'bumps' on the outside of the bushings that are meant to be stops for the depth.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Rich is right. I did mine this winter and you really can't press them too far unless you are trying to screw it up

Thanks, the last time I did this job was on a 57 wagon. Had a front end shop install the bushings and they just crammed the new ones in as far as they would go. Took some massaging to get them corrected. I got these parts from Rare Parts Inc.  opened one of their packages and the bushings do have raised ridges on them. I don't remember the first ones I used having them.
