Hey Guys,
Dad has a ford galaxie center consloe in the car now. I would like to do something different, is there any suggestions on a good fit with a automatic floor shifter?

Thanks,

look at mid to early 60s t-birds, they 've been done to death butits because they look so good, won;t work with bench seats as they're quite long.

A friend used a Falcon console on his 56. They are just short consoles. His is a 4sp so the console fit between the seats behind the shifter. Looked like it was made for the car when he was done.

Zapato

the Falcon consoles also look nice. Just as you descibe fit perfectly between a pair of bucket seats. Had forgotten about those what years had the ribbed lids? Or did they all?

Tim...nothing to do with a console, I was just curious..."in the heart of the Green Mountains"...do you also live in New Hampshire? I spent many summer weekends in NH..I remember when the Old Man of the Mountains was still there, and when Clark's trading post still had bears! although I'm not sure if I remembered the correct name of the old landmark. In fact I spent my (2nd) honeymoon at Lake Winasquam.

'64-'66 interchange but any of the '60s Thunderbird interiors have similar potential

Rich,
The green mtns. are in Vermont, New Hampshire has the White mtns. Been to clarks as a kid, I've been to many kittery trading post cruise nights, they were good memories!

Gotta love the bird's wrap rear seats, are you putting them in your 57? My Dad had some in his 51 ford.

You could make one from scratch. I'm gathering all the stuff that will end up on mine ...air/heat controls, radio, window switches, 12v outlet, gauges, etc for the final redo.
