Was they're a 390 Cobra jet torino in 68/69?

JimNolan

From what I've read on the web-sites, there were a number of models that had 428s and 429 Cobra Jet and Super Cobra Jet engines. Nowhere did I find a 390 called a cobra Jet. That doesn't mean there weren't, it just means that I can't find it on the WWW. Jim

CJ (and SCJ) were descriptions of the High Output 68/70 FE 428, the 70/71 429 385 Series and the 71/74 351C.

The HI-PO 390 66/68 (320/335HP) was referred to as the GT. The 1968 427CI/390HP engine (W-Code) was only available in the 68 COUGAR GT-E and was dropped with the introduction of the 428CJ (APR 68).
