Remove Key Cylinder

Any advice on removing the key cylinder from the tumbler on my 57. I think insert the key,turn to on position,push on pin and pull out with key. I'm not sure

I believe you have to turn it to ACC position, push the pin in, then keep turning it CCW. When the cylinder turns past the pin, pull it out.

My original thought was right. Turn key to the on position clockwise,push pin down,and pull out, PRESTO. Other ingnitions may vary.
