AND.....I have not forgotten about doing some art for .....whatever is needed(shirts, etc, etc)
I was suppose to meet Tom in Detroit..... that was a very hectic weekend..... the mags had me on assignment and running.....

I promise as soon as the next few weeks clear....I will throw something together.... We have a group of guys that are into different 57 fords here...some Fairlanes,300's,rags,wagons,retracatbles,gassers,etc,etc...
An image needs to fit all 57 fords.....I have been thinking of this and maybe something very Ford graphic may be in the mix.......

Yes, gasman!

I have been looking for a tshirt like that...hard to find anything with the Ford shield. Only used in the 50s?

I wanted to put the Ford shield fender emblem (56 Tbirds) on my oil filler cap, but hard to find and expensive at about $100 for the chrome frame and plastic insert. The fender emblem would fit perfect. I have settled so far for a hat pin I found at a gift shop in Virginia City, NV for $7.

I have been collecting Rat Fink tshirts and keep asking them for a 57 Ford and 'wagon versions as I buy and talk to them at car show events like the Grand Natl Roadster Show. They usually have a booth at the events at the LA County Fairplex. So far, I have only found a 50(?) Ford Woody and the art work of The Rat of it isn't as good as others. The graphic could be better.

The '56 Chevy Rat Fink shirt gets some attention from people walking behind me. Much better art work! When women comment, I have to say..."Relax, my wife bought it for me and we have been married 27 years."

Rob, how about using the hubcap insert from a 56 Ford, can't be very expensive.

Zap...

I thought about it and looked at them...but it didn't "do it" for me like the fender emblem. Might have to revisit that thought!

I also thought about the Y-block "V8" gold glove box emblem and older Ford V8 emblem...but I am not using a Y-block! The 50s Ford crest needed the nod.

Believe there might still be a 51 ford hood emblem lying around in my junk pile, will look. There are many other ones used on dashboards thru-out the 50s in various sizes. Will check to see what might still be here........

The hood emblem is too big for the oil filler cap! (looked at that, too)
