Look.... my 57 has a left disc brake....I cannot understand how or why this would have happened.
It was last on the road in 71.
Maybe some previous owner did not complete the job..... but how it ever worked.....is beyond me.

Drivers left, drivers right? does that mean it has two steering columns  :003:

Seriously, that is strange for sure, maybe it is so you lock it up and throw it in the corners on an oval track.

I just got off the phone with Jeff in Canada and we were talking about this mixed brake situation on his car. If I had seen that about the 2 columns, I would have given Jeff "the business" and asked if he has two brake pedals.   I know that he can take a joke.
All kidding aside.. The thing is that judging by the rust on the disc setup, his car had it on there  for a long time.   I see the flexible  brake line is hanging so I wonder if it was ever hooked up. Most likely someone started to make the change and never got around to finishing it.  We all know that it  would be a disaster if it was driven that way.
I sort of answered my own question because the pictures Jeff sent a few days ago of his firewall show the original stock single master cylinder.
For whatever reason, the P.O. just never finished it.

Isn't the steering wheel supposed to be on the right in Canada?

Granada swap started.  There's an example of the tie rod end being too large to tighten enough to install the cotter pin in the castle nut.

Kinda half full half empty thing.

Thanks Gary
You have a good eye.  That accounts for the noticible  bad fit on the tie rod.
