I had the pleasure of a guided tour of Bill Smith's Speedway Motors Museum yesterday in Lincoln, Ne. This took 2 1/2hrs and covers 3 floors! I could go on and on about it, never saw so many flatheads in my life, probably 200 restored pedal cars and so on-

BUT, while looking at a 4 cyl Plymouth engine from back in the day, I noticed a BLUE head. In reading the cars, yes, it was from a FORD 292/312 vintage! (yes, I know they were red then, but this one was painted Ford blue) I forgot to make a note of the engine builder- does anyone recall this being done?

If you ever get to the mid west- this is a must see guys!  www.museumofamericanspeed.com

RICH MUISE

Sounds like a cool museum. Not sure why I would end up in Nebraska, but you never know. Not to hijack another thread, but I really like your wheels. What are they, and what are the sizes?

The 4 cyl Plymouth engine apparently is not that much of a real old build.  :dontknow:
Bottom of last page of inline 4 Cylinder engines ...
"1932 Plymouth, Ford 292 Y-Block Head, Hilborn Injectors, Ford Pinto Distributor."
"This engine was configured by museum staff on a spare 1932 Plymouth block..."

The orange and white 56 conv is not currently on display. I had been there about 4 years ago and saw it there then, they had moved several things around and added several things. They are also in the early planning stages of building a hugh addition. One of the original Tucker's is there. It is a step back in time for sure. If you ever get the chance- it is a must see!

Rich Fox has described this engine build on the HAMB a couple of times, real stand up guy.
