The model in the pictures is quite conservative compared to the concept car. I really like it, looks great from any angle.

My personal favorite is the 69/70 fastback, one of the best designs Ford ever came up with, along with the 32 Ford coupe, 57 Ford and the list goes on......

I guess it wasn't a wasted thread, judging by the number of responses.  As I've said before, my 1st Mustang was a 65 coupe as they hadn't come out with the fastback before I ordered it.  Moving to 45 years later, I saw my 2008 Shelby GT and just had to have it. Both were fun cars on the street or strip.  IMO both have their respective features to love or hate.  Kind of like the like it or don't, as related to the 57 Fairlane 500, Skyliner or the 57 Custom 300.  I prefer the Custom 300, but probably because that is what I had in my youth.

I won't be buying one but I do like it.  The current retrostang has been overdone and is not selling despite its great drivetrain.  I am glad Ford is moving forward and at least they are keeping it rear wheel drive.
