Anybody on here own one. I've always liked the body style on the 57-60 pick ups and you don't see that many around. Was kinda looking for one, short bed fleet side, 6cyl, 3 on  the tree.

Nice looking trucks. If I were to own one, it would be a 57 or a 61-63 unibody

I had a 60 unibody pick up with a Y block engine in the late 60's.  I think that I traded heavy duty 1/2" drill  for it.  Sorry I let that one get away from me.

The pick up or the drill? Just kidding.
I've been looking on craigslist up and down the west coast and it seems you can get an ok driver for around $4-5k.
Further south you go you would probably have less rust to deal with.

The funny thing is that in those days I probably paid fifteen dollars for the used drill and I think I sold the truck for about $200. and thought that I was making money.
Life was so simple then no sales tax and no titles.

I'm a big fan of the 57-60's. I bought my '60 in 1974 for $400, rebuilt it from the ground up and had it on the road since '75. It worked for 30 years a a daily driver and has traveled all the western states and been to Canada. 100,000 mile when I bought it and I've added another 340,000. Six cylinder 223 that I have rebuilt three times over the miles and a 3spd overdrive. Had to rebuild the 9" once when I changed ratios. It's still going strong, drove it to Chama NM two summers ago, 2,300 miles round trip and it never missed a beat..
