I'm not seeing a whole lot of Meteors on here. When I bought mine it came with a 57 Meteor parts car which I just ended up selling to a friend. HRD

YOU HAD A 57 METEOR AND YOU DIDN'T FIX IT UP?
                             "You Messed Up"

Now I see what they mean when they say that you're always in trouble.

                 Hey Jeff!!
Did you know that?   Do they still revoke citizenship up there for that type of crime?

     Thanks for posting that picture.
Now when I finally get to meet HRD I think I'm going to have to beat him up first thing before I shake his hand and say hello.

As I am learning here I think I may have made the right choice, because I don't think turning a Meteor into a Gasser would have gone over to well. I did say I sold it to a friend and not a scrap yard, so firm hand shakes only please. HRD

Man that blue meteor is pretty!

    OK you're off the hook.
How complete was the Meteor?  Has your friend started to restore it yet?

hotroddonnie

Well Jay it wasn't totally complete, no interior, it had a 302, it did have fiberglass front fenders, the frame was bad (salt) so the car obviously was not original, anyway my friend wanted it. A quick story, my friends dad had a 57 ford as a stock car #40 were talking back in the early 60s. His dad died a few years ago and he wanted to build a tribute car in memory of his dad, but unfortunately he put it on hold and it is sitting for the time being. HRD

There's a guy on the HAMB with a tri-color 57 Meteor wagon, absolutely gorgeous.Would think one would go broke just doing the chrome on one. And Meteor specific parts are not easy to find.

I have a 51 Ford coupe and searched for years for a Meteor grille, and just about when ready to give up when a posting in a Canadian street organization worked. Someday it will get re-chromed and mounted.

Thank you very much for your explanation of what the Meteor actually looked like.   So you are back in good standing again on a limited basis.  I'll talk to Jeff to make sure that your citizenship gets restored.     Jay

Thanks Jay, it feels good to be back.

Meteors have some nice touches I guess, at least they're different. Too many Do-Dads on that one for me. I'd get rid of one of the 4 colors, the headlight chrome, bumper guards and the big V in the grille center. I really like the way the grille wraps around the sides of the fender.
Does the grille run continuously from one side to the other behind the V? Can the V be removed in other words without having a big void in the middle?
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Sure, Rich...you call it a Custom.
