:canada:Hi guys, I actually joined this board last year, figured I should introduce myself. I live in British Columbia Canada, about 1/2 hour from the US border, 3 hours North of Seattle. I have always loved 57 Fords, I have owned 3. My first 2 were Sedan Deliveries, origionally equipped with 272 Y blocks and 3 speed standards. Although these were badged as "Couriers" in the US, up here in Canada, they had "Sedan Delivery" emblems on the front fenders. I bought first delivery in 1973 for $50.00, and made my first dragstrip passes at Mission Raceway with it in 74. The following year I bought my 2nd delivery ($175. for that 1), and swapped in a FE and C6, and drove it daily from 76 thru 1986, this vehicle is still around, in a local Ford racers collection. Around this same time, I also owned a 57 Custom 4 door sedan, also 272 3 speed.  My first taste of late 50s Fords came in 1966, when my father bought a 58 Ford 2 door Ranch Wagon (223 auto), when I was 9 years old. I loved that car. Before the 57s, my dad bought me a 59 4 door Country Sedan wagon around 1971, as a "educational toy", before my 16th birthday, I had swapped out the 223 auto for a 312 and 3 speed standard, but once I found the first 57 Delivery, the 59 had to go. I haven`t owned a 57 since 1986, but hope to find a Custom or Custom 300 2 door sedan one day. I do have a 59 Meteor 2 door sedan (332 FE auto), but my 40 years of drag racing has kept me from doing much with it.Maybe one day.......
1959 Meteor 2 door sedan , 428 Cobra Jet 4 speed. Been drag racing Fords (mostly FEs) 47 years and counting.
Previous 50s Fords include 57 Custom 4 door, 2 57 Ford Sedan Deliveries, 59  Country Sedan, and as a 9 year old, fell in love with the family 58 2 door Ranch Wagon.
