I got my vacuum wipers going today,  I had been thru the motor twice and it still would not work. Sent it to Ficken Wiper Service in New York for a rebuild. It arrived back this morning and I put it on and hooked up vacuum from the manifold and it works great. The switch cable was frozen from not being used , so I removed it and spent another hour lubing and breaking it loose then re-installed. I highly recommend Ficken if anyone else needs their vacuum motor rebuilt! I am probably going to start on my heater tomorrow, hope my core is still good!

Put a new core in. Not worth the grief (or wet carpet)  to do it twice.

I put a new one in too, not worth taking a chance on a used one. I almost lost a 57 many years ago when the core blew and the interior filled with steam and I lost all visibility at 80 mph coming home from Vegas in the winter..
