From the start of this build I was determined to get a set of Yankee tri-bar mirrors. bought a used set several years ago on E-Bay only to find out that they were going to cost $500.00 to re-chrome. They have been in a box, ready to go ever since. never could get myself to ship them. a couple weeks ago a pair was listed with better than average chrome. took a chance and bought them. They came yesterday and were exactly as advertised, not perfect but plenty good enough for a driver. Once in a while, ya get lucky.

There was a time when a guy was listing one box after another of N.O.S. Yankee mirrors. they all went for around $425.00 to which I said "That will be the day when I spend that kind of money for mirrors," Turns out after getting a price to re-chrome used mirrors the new ones were kind of on sale. out smarted myself again
