I'd like to wish all my 57 Ford friends a happy Thanksgiving for tomorrow. Don't eat too much turkey!

We've got ten or so coming over for dinner. I didn't want the wife to overdue it since she is just getting over being sick, so we're trying something new...A complete thanksgiving dinner for 12 to go has been ordered from The Cracker Barrell restaraunt..hope it turns out well. We pick it up at 1pm, and bring it home. Connie is just making a few desserts and my Waldorf salad.
LOL...When I was engaged to Connie 25 years ago, and she was still in the Navy, we had a Thanksgiving dinner in St. Louis where she was stationed...worst thanksgiving dinner I've ever had...they actually served canned turkey!
What the heck...I was just out there one weekend a month from Colorado Springs..we didn't have time for stuff like cooking.

A second or third on that "Happy Thanksgiving" wish. I am the cook in my family.... a small gathering for us but I started cooking already. I have friends that are getting up at 4:30 AM to put their turkey in the smoker! Weather is awesome, things are great, inspite of national news. Lots to give thanks about.

Got the bird ready to go, fixed "Bill's famous potatoes" and candied sweet taters yesterday.  Need to do the bread dressing, green beans and rolls and open a good bottle of wine around 1 PM (have to sample to make sure it is fit for consumption) and sit down at 2,  thank God for all we have and chow down.

I pray you all have a wonderful day with family and friends.  Please remember those less fortunate then we and those that are unable to be home while serving our great country.
