Crooker Tires

Have Crooker wide whites on my 55 Bird and was planning on putting them on the 57 Ranchero as well except for the fact that they seem to weather check rapidly.  Mine are 3 years old with about 5000 miles. Car is always garaged.  Anyone else have problems with Crookers?

The checking on the tire comes from the tires sitting on the the shelf to long but are labled new when sold.
