Broke in new engine

Broke in the cam in my 514 BBF yesterday. 65psi oil pressure, didn't gain any valve lash so I guess the cam is broke in properly. Has to be one of the more stressful things
these days, the first 20 minutes of break-in whether the cam is going to go flat or not. Just have to install the inner valve springs and put the front end back on.

Looking forward to seeing what an extra 100hp feels like!

Keeping the original look makes for a nice sleeper. Everything looks great, really well done. I love it when a new engine first fires, you must be a happy camper.

These 429-460's strokers are pretty reasonable to build with the off shore kits available today.
It's a 10:1 pump gas solid fat tappet old school build. Should make about about 520-540 hp and
around 570 lbs torque.

time to start looking at stickier tires.
