Good Day Sirs,

Apologies in advance but I've done several searches on the site and can't find the info.

I'm looking for a little advice regarding locations for a set of aftermarket gauge sensors (Oil and Water) for my 292, I want to keep the stock sensors to keep the lights active on the dash, but would like to add the new ones as well. Near as I can figure there is another "oil" access plug about 8" back of the original on the drivers side (see pic, just behind the motor mount). Ok to use that one?

As far as the water sensor, is there another spot I can get to? I don't have the heater hooked up so I could go with one of the outlets in front but would rather save those for the heater install.

Appreciate your help.

Ron

I just used a brass "T" fitting for the oil pressure. I have an FE so I can't speak to Y Block configuration.

But the original oil pressure looks like "electric", the gauge I got has an actual feed going to the sensor.

Use a brass T with the electric sender on one side and the mechanical oil pressure gauge line on the other.

I agree with the other guys. get a "close" nipple and a brass tee. That is what I did.
