And you guys think you have problems.... My power windows in my 500 are dragging, I was able to get the drivers side sorted out (a little brake clean and un'gumming of the gears) when I pulled the handle it didn't have a clip in it, I was able to pull it off, but I'll be goldang if I can get to the other one, it don't have a clip (from what I can see by sticking screwdrivers in there and looking), looks like the last fella might of "Bakerlocked" that thing. What the heck do I do now? Get a bigger hammer? I'm about ready to start getting Western with this thing...

And God bless Merle.

Just when you think you have heard it all......Did the one you got off show any adhesive residue? I don't see how it would have stayed on at all without a clip. If you are SURE there is no clip on the stuck one, I would try and bend up a u shaped piece of steel that would slip behind the handle flange and hook it to a slide hammer and gently, at first, try and encourage it to come off. The nice thing about this setup is that your encouragement can increase with your frustration. Good luck.

The handles do not have clips, the lock does. The handle does have two screws, one inside the door cavity at the small end of the handle, and the other is on the outside of the door cavity, between  the door seal and the starwheel housing. The clip for the lock is definetly under the door seal.

Never mind...Dumb me  was thinking outside door handle and wondering why in the world you needed to pull that. DUUUUHHH!!!!!

So, did ya ever get that inside door handle off?
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

A last ditch way is to use about a 1" holesaw to drill through the handle at it's axis,
that will let you remove the door panel so you can remove the parts from the door.

Goodluck,

Ron.

Managed to get it off with my dent puller and a couple nasty licks. Had been cemented in place (LOL), all good now. Thanks fellas.
