Fuel and Brake Line Routing?

I'm ready to replace the fuel and brake lines on my Ranchero. 3/8 Fuel Line, 5/16 Return Fuel Line, 3 /16 Brake Line. Using the new Nickle-Copper tubing. AN/JIC on the fuel lines. Double flare on the brake lines
I'm interested in knowing how y'all have routed these lines. As I recall, the original lines ran on the outside of the frame on the driver's side, making a "U" shaped loop around a body mount about midway, and crossing over in the rear just forward of the leaf spring, front mount, and crossing over in the front, just behind the upper control arm. Did I get that right?
I'm not a fan of the "U" shaped loop that goes around the body mount and have considered going "through" that body mount and using grommets. Yes, I'm aware that doing that creates problems should I need to remove  a line or replace it. But I can deal with that. I should add that this is a completely bare frame. I've looked at running these lines on the "Inside" side of the frame ( not inside the frame! ) but don't know what to do when I get to the transmission cross member besides go over it and then there is another body mount, just forward of the transmission cross member to deal with. So what advice can you give me on routing these lines? What have you done? What is the clearance between the body and the frame where the stock lines crossed over the frame?
As always, thanks, you guys always have great replies.
BTW......got my engine and transmission this past week. 351/5.8L Fuel Injected with a 4R70W Transmission

I have also considered rerouting the lines. you can easily go over the transmission crossmember and the firewall leaves lots of space to route the lines on top of the frame into the engine compartment. In the end I will make my lines exactly as og. it's well thought out, especially when you have a bare frame and body off. those lines are well protected between the frame and the body rockers. much better than on the inside of the chassis, where gravel can hit it and heat from the exhaust can cause trouble. I will use stainless tubing and fittings kit that I bought from seller on ebay.

My first thought is.........wow you are up late...........is is 12:30 or 1:30 in Austria, 7:30 on the East Cost of U.S.A.? Beautiful country. Been there many times.
I've been leaning towards the original routing, but going through that body mount, rather than around it. I have rear disc brakes ( 2001 Exploder ) and I'm planning on running the rear brake line on the rear cross member to the right side. I've used SS tubing  on my other cars and had good results, but it is difficult. I'm hoping this new material is easier............I've been lead to believe it is.
What is the clearance between the frame and the body.........if you know?

P.S Thanks for the reply!
