Streator Ill. and Dwight Ill/ Jay.... what a GREAT bunch od folks..Hospitality was INCREDIBLE!!!!!.... We did a Roadtrip with 10 cars,20 guys and met half the State of Illinois!
The Dirty Bird met her white cousin hahaha...(6cyl57)

My car ran great,one minor issue..brake light switch(Parking lot fix)
We all stayed in a Old Motel called the Town n Country,.. built in the early 60's(I think).... just completely renovated.. great place and so retro... did a bit of route #66.... and Partied with some amazing town folk.Met a Man and his wife.. senior Gentleman who was the local Stock car legend.... His name is "Hacksaw" and his wife....The whole town seemed to come out for this 2-3 day car event.... just awesome.....Had an Amazing time.... The Dirty Bird(my 57) ran flawlessly at 70-75mph all the way down and all the way back.....Long trip... 12 hrs each way...... Good Times.... I must say..I met America and it's people are fantastic.

       You went silent and it was like you disappeared off the face of the earth.   In your second picture, what's that strange looking foreign car that's parked next to the 52-53 Mercury? 
      Isn't it amazing how those 57 Fords can get up and go on those long trips and still feel like a modern car?
      The black and white custom 300's  look real cool together.

Yes, Jay.. very much so..but I must say.. some of them Michigan roads are pretty. ruff!

I know that the roads can be rough, but the  57 Fords were built to take it.   I crossed the US and the mountains back and forth several times driving 57 Fords with stock suspension and stock brakes.
