it is clearly visible that this is not a staged pic. It makes total sense to discuss a single Stromberg against a GMC blower, as long as you removed the radiator and have 2 guys grease the front transverse leaf spring.... :003: with a bunch of hudlums holding down the body so the wind doesn't blow it away.... :002: :003:

loving those goofy 50s pics.
that's a wicked 34 Coupe across the street! filled in quarter windows on a 5wd, moon discs and what appears could have been either a Hemi or Nailhead in the engine bay.

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

July.......first car?? What's that all about, by July they should be almost done with the model year run. Was that the year of the steel strike? but I'm thinking the strike was 1956 or 7 because my dad was anxiously awaiting his new Dodge that was months late because of the strike.

Production usually ends around the middle of June so a new model July build makes sense. New models hit the showroom in September.

Mahwah had 4 assembly lines, each line was converted to the new model at different dates, this would be the first line to run the 55. Depending on demand for the outgoing model the last line would be changed over to 55 production between August 15 and August 27.
FYI...In most cases any car assembled before September 9 would still have the data plate build code of September 9.

But wouldn't the '55 model have hit the showrooms in Sept of '54.

Damn I'm getting slow, Marwar opened in 1955 that's why it's the first car on July 15.
