When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

Picture # 2011  is cool.  Just think that in those days they didn't have a paved parking lot.  The 4 dr. watchamacallet that 's parked out front is not that pretty though.    Jay

Cool pic.....Talk about a blind intersection! The pic looks like it is in the country, but Newton upper falls, Newton, and Newtonville are next to Waltham, Mass. (suburbs of Boston) where I lived when I was a kid. My dad use to work in a machine shop in Newtonville when I was about 10. It was about 10-12 miles from our house, and a few times I rode my bike there to have lunch with him in the summertime.
Last year a Hamb member posted a pic of his car next to a river. I recognized the river as the Charles, and the cemetery across the river as the one where my mom and dad are buried on the hillside/riverbank overlooking the Waltham Watch Factory. That was where my dad did his Machine apprenticeship.
I've been told they have done a wonderful job of converting the huge factory to modern offices, resteraunts, boutiques, etc.
The Newtons are not to far from the old famous Normbega (sp?)Amusement Park where we use to go as a kid. Joe, and Jay probably went there also.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

"Station and track still survive today, to the best of my knowledge Bay Colony RR still uses this line to deliver plastic pellet cars to a company in Newton, and i believe the station is now a coffee shop."
