When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

Now that is a crazy picture considering all facts. that is a cut open '34 closed car Ford, converted to juice brakes, looking like a JD California Hot Rod, but all of that is going on in Colombia....

Just think that there was a time when they were plentiful and all over the place and it was no big deal to take nice stuff and cut it up
and make them into junk.  In my time I remember seeing mid 50's Fords in junk piles and parts were easy to get in junk yards.

Fast forward to now and parts and knowledgeable people are few and far apart.  Thanks to James and this site we have access to smart
people who are  willing to share their knowledge and also share their parts.  I have had lots of help and have even received parts for free.
What I'm trying to say is that 57fordsforever is the absolutely best site on the internet.   Jay

The '56 Daytona pic...... Ford had a D code/2 x4's  in '56?
Oops! yes, E code
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Pretty sure it was over the counter/ dealer installed setup on 56's. Would be standard equipment in 57 for an E code Ford.

that must be one of the craziest T bird customs ever built. I don't think it's ugly. would have made a neat mystery street sports car in the mid 1960s. It could even be an old build.

I do believe dual 4s were available in late 56.  However those are not teapot carbs, chokes are on upper left sides.  Possibly Carter WCFs.  The air cleaner does appear to be from an early dual 4 or E code car.

The 56, 2x4 setup was a over the counter package available to racers only for Fords and Mercurys (The Mercury manifold had more spacing between the carbs and had its own aircleaner made from a Ford "Big Job" truck.)  I've been told the the 56 Ford 2x4 aircleaner would not fit the 57 Ford as I was to high.
