Only 11yrs old then but I remember that. That was just about a year after the big earthquake in Anchorage Ak. Couple big disasters.

I don't remember ever hearing about the plane crash, but I was 14, had my mind on other things sadly.....like girls.
Lowrider.........we use to have a member here from Anchorage area.........Tom. Left once for a year or two, came back, then left again. I miss him...he had always posted some interesting stuff.

Thank you for the story of the plane crash. That was not the one I was thinking about, it would have been earlier. I'm surprised to see FDNY still using older cars. I don't recall this one. We left NY in 1957 in a brand new 1957 Ford.
