I can't even imagine what it must've been like to walk into a Lincoln dealership in 1959 and see these incredible, over the top vehicles that really were nothing like anything else on the road.

Same dealership, I like them already.

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

Günter  If you are talking about the 58 - 59 truck in picture 5345, it just does not look right.   Looks like it wants to tip forward and fall on it's face.  A railroad track would not be very good for pushing cars around.  Maybe a wooden bumper would be better. JMO

Hey you guys stop making fun of front bumpers  :005: I made my own and would have used railroad track if I had some at the time  :003:

Your bumper doesn't look out of place like the pic G's talking about. Were I to see the grotesque bumper I wouldn't consider looking at the rest of it, no matter how nice it looked.

That red one in the picture is beautiful. IMO it is a lot nicer that the green one .   I like the 58s and 59s.  I had a 60 , but it was such a long time ago I can't remember if it had dual or single headlights.  That's called CRS. Jay

Hey, c'mon! me and a friend (he's the talent   :006:) made this bumper for my Ford:

1957 was the only year with single headlights. Myself, I prefer the dual headlights, but this would do in a pinch.

Jay, mine is a 60 and so is the green one. I have a friend with a 57 single headlight and it's red too. The first time we passed each other going down the road I couldn't believe it, two similar trucks in the same small town..
