Guys,
Here's the new 390 engine I'm going to install when I get back from Gulfport. Also, the engine test stand I made for it. Works great. The engine is a inverted 105 block, 390 truck heads, 63 intake, mild cam, 360 pistons ( 9.2 ), new Holley 600 with 63 valve covers and air cleaner.
I've got about 5 hours run time on the engine now. Oil press at idle when hot is 30 lbs, 60 above idle. I took my time on this engine. There's no leaks, drips or errors. I estimate about 280 - 300 hp with stock exhaust.

The paint is called Castillian Gold. It's more brown than it is gold. After the paint dries it looks as if its got gold swirls in it. It's a beautiful paint. The website www.tbirdranch.com has the formula for it. Be ready to pay $160 dollars a quart for it. Most of the valve covers you see painted or on E-bay aren't painted this color. Wonder Why. Jim
