How close were the Glide mntg. holes to stock? I suppose it would be too good to be true if they lined up!

Sorry to dissappoint you.  The shop that did my upholstery said the "Brand X" mounting holes were considerably different.  No big surprise there.  But drilling new holes and backing them up properly underneath keeps the strength, so it really doesn't make much difference.
