Looking for motor and transmission mounts for my car. Have an FE 390 and 4-speed. Used '58 Ford mounts before. Dennis Carpenter doesn't seem to show the transmission mount.
Ideas? Thanks.  Hugh

Concours Parts in Carson City NV shows The 57 mount fits 57-59, all v-eights. That fits with my memory.

You are welcome. I forgot to mention but you probably already know. The only difference between y-block and fe is you turn the mount around 180 degrees.

X2, two FE swaps years ago and didn't flip the mounts.

Probably right, I just had to do that with a 390 swap in about 1965. Just what I had to do to get it to fit. Also had a t85 and I don't recall the original source of the gear.

Thanks guys for all the answered. Sorry I didn't get back to this question sooner. For some reason I was having issues getting in.

So...I bought the mount from Concours Parts in Carson City. But it came with only two (2) mounting studs. Now keep in mind it has been well over 40 years since I took this car apart originally, so I an asking what is probably a dumb question here...but HOW do I fasten the mount to the cross member after it is bolted to the transmission? Is there supposed to be a specific U-bolt or some other form of attachment? I can't see drilling holes in this thick of rubber to bolt down.

I am trying to do some mock-up and need to be able to mount the transmission to get some measurements. I know this is a strange question but...HELP! Thanks!

Yes actually  the trans is clamped to the mount with u clamp and two 7/16 bolts from bottom into trans.  You can just sit the trans on the mount for fitting until you find your u clamp.

Thanks! I suspected that was the case...but my mind has grown blank on a lot of this stuff. I'll call Concours back and see if they have the clamp. And get on with my mock-up.  :)
P.S. I pass through Butte on my trips back and forth to Branson MO from Port Angeles WA. Once the snow clears, we should meet up and I can check out your 57.

Maybe I not reading your reply correctly but you said the mount has two studs, that sounds like the 60 and later mount. It should look like this for a 57.

Do that.  I'm in AZ now but will be home by mid May.
