Need Eight Cage Nuts for a 57 Custom Hood Hinges.

Also Need the Two Cage Nuts for the top fender cowl mount.

Either used or if someone knows where to buy them.

Try Restoration Specialties. restorationspecialties.com, (814) 467-9842. They are "old school" suppliers of all kinds of hard to find stuff.

Didn't the top fender use hex head sheet metal screws?

I got mine at a paint supply house.."wee packs" IIRC.
rmk57.....the one place for the sheet metal bolt is the one under the windshield dogleg that you see when you open the door. #14 screw I think. Mine were too loose, so I opened them up for a 1/4" stainless lag bolt. The one that is the cowl mount that John mentioned is a cage nut for machine screw. I found some s.s. 5/16 hex flange bolts with serrations under the flange on ebay.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Thanks for the information. I'll give those a try.

I have started to use weldin nuts for the cowl because of the unreliable nature of those cage nuts.
