Bill, I am fairly late to the party, but what a great 63 ! Do I spot that correctly, did you have M/T Rader single rib mag/chrome wheels ? I have a set of those simply because I love the design, never cared to put it on my 57 though.

dj I just don't remember!  Been to bed a couple of times since then, drank a couple of beers since then, but I think you are correct.  That car turned into a 70 Boss 302.

I guess back then they were just another brand of wheels, for young guys like you. imho they fit the 63 perfectly!

fun trivia the Rader wheels were introduced by a German origin Mr. Räder (which was his family name but also means wheels in German), but was sold to Mickey Thompson wheels and became the M/T Rader wheel. the rim is chromed steel on an aluminium center. Back in the 1990s a friend of mine had a set on her 1957 Fairlane HT cpe.

Your "trivia" jogged my mind, those were M/T Rader!  Came out of a speed shop in Madison, WI.  I was a whopping 19 with a pocket full of cash after a year in Nam!
