Roof rail to widow seals 57 RHT

Have any of you retractable guys ever used shim material to help seal the gap between roof and top of windows.  I have the shim rubber but can't find any info as to installation. I could sure use some help with this. thanks Alvin

Alvin just lay in the shim material as needed to build down the roof rail to window, I use the 3M upholstery glue to hold the shim in place & ther re-install the roof rail & depending on how may rubber shims you install you may need longer screws.
