The Eaton power steering pumps used on '57-'64 Fords are fairly good pumps and easy to rebuild.  The pumps are very similar but have differences.  Most of the pulleys, seals and gaskets are interchangeable with the pump but may not fit the application.  The Y-Block pump, pulleys, housing and brackets are different than the FE pumps.   The '57 pump differs internally as it is a roller pump.  The downside of rebuilding a '57 style pump is the rollers.  If the rollers are damaged, replacements are in short supply.  The '57 style pump also has a different pressure relief value set to 700 lbs and the return line is in the end of the relief valve.  The later style Eaton pump for the FE is internally different, the return line is in the housing, the relief valve is 1000 lbs.  The housing and pulley are offset differently for the FE so the pumps do not interchange.
