If I can finish this piece up today I will have finished my goal for this week.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I do have a small floor pan behind the piece to help it cool off which does work wonders.

I do enjoy welding-just not necessarily in this particular local.

When I went to pick up some spared rods the shop had a 66 fairlane Country Sedan 9 pax that was essentially perfect. I came close-but decided that once the pans are in I am just down to the doors/windows and basic interior and then she will road ready!

NEVER NEVER enough light.  Last winter I put a cyclops, LED headlight on my welding helmet.  Fabulous...just fabulous!

Once you will be able to drive and enjoy your 57 wagon, you will never look back, I promise !

Tomorrow it is prime and paint day. It looks like s#*#*#^}t but it is functional and it should hold together. Well as long it holds for about 10-12 yrs. Then the Model A should be done and I can start a full resto on the wagon. Next up rocker lip!

What light did you use? I went to their site and all I see are motorcycle and bike lights.

Got even more done today than I thought I would. If I am super lucky both will be in by Tuesday. Hoping my engineering brain is correct at them holding the structure together.

Update time:

Not only is the toe board in along with the little 'A' pillar patch but the rocker is patched up! I had to do it three sections so I could paint the inside. Got most of it painted then ran into fun trouble so will have finish that part. Next up new hardwood floors in the house, rebuild the O/D in the A and then back to the floor pan in the wagon.

Well done ! Isn't it a great feeling, when all the rust and bad metal has been cut out, some areas have already been repaired and sealed, and from now on it's putting it back together again ?!

I hit the tunnel with a flap disk to see how bad the metal is...and well not good. I may have to order a new tunnel:(. Then the floor pan goes in-front. Then I move to the back one. Progress is progress I guess.

Like Neil Young said: "Rust Never Sleeps!" It's a pain in the A$$ now, but the reward is well worth it, nice work
When I was 14 years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned 21, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last 7 years!

I had to replace part of the tunnel on my sedan with 18 Ga. The portion of the tunnel behind the seat was part of the rear floors on the EMS panels.

PM sent to 1930artdeco.

Big news-well for me at least. The pass. side floor pan is 80% in now!!!! I just need to finish welding in the front and outside edges. Then off to the tunnel to finish that side and moving to the rear pass. floor pan.
