Oh I do like Rancheros! I like both the red and blue with their solid white gates. Just me though...nicely done!

57chero.   Your car is beautiful.  You put a lot of work into it.
1930artdeco  Can't wait to see those pictures.
Hiball Jim  Is there any chance that you could post a picture of the back of yours?
All of these will be a big help. Thanks   Jay

djfordmanjack

Yes, that is the way it should be, I know mine is wrong  :005: I really don't worry about it that much as I spend 90% of the time looking through the windshield  :003: The only people looking at my rear end should be in Chevys.

I just got off the phone from talking to Travis20 Dave with the red and white Ranchero because I was wondering what he meant by his rear end question.  Actually he has two  questions.

Ques. 1   Should the Ranchero tail gate be one color or two?  He is willing to repaint the lower section red if necessary.
Ques  2  What should the rear end gear ratio be for that car ?   It came with a Y block  He wants something higher. The rear end tag has been removed              i
Jay, the standard trans ones came with 3.89 and 4.11 optional, I don't know what auto trans had?

Beautiful Ranchero Dave. and after hearing how you built it in a shed ,.by yourself... amazing..very nice indeed.
I have a Ranch die cast, with the exact paint scheme as Hiball3985 beautiful Ranchero....

I personally think. the only thing you should do.....
....Is drive it.

I like them all.  Right or wrong...they all look great.  As long as they are driveable, paint is optional and I'm envious!

Thats the same model the previous owner used to base the paint on, I think the Chinese got it wrong and he didn't know better. And when I bought I didn't know either at that time.

Jim.you'rs works because of the black and red not being so contrating.
On that pic Jeff posted just above, I think I'm seeing a hint of the paint divider that Gunter talked about above the tailfin. I like it done that way.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

I hadn't seen one like Jeff posted, it looks good. Most combos look good, just a personal choice what each person likes.
