Need some help with a sunliner

Hey everyone!
Need help, so i can help my dad with his 57 sunliner. I?m from Sweden, and I dont know the american Word for the sack there the cabriolet stay. Can someone please send a picture where it will be hold? Or just explain..

Called the top well.  Rear should be fastened, I'm not home now and can't remember how it is fastened.  I'm sure someone will chime in.

should it be attached to the side or on top of the rain channel?

This is a 58 convertible parts car. Looks like remnants of well are attached to top inner edge of drain trough, by spring steel clips installed over the fabric on the lip of drain channel.
