57 Retractable in Pre-Race Ceramonies at the 2008 World Finals Drag Race

Just wanted to let you know that Rick Crawford has posted a couple of shots of Bill Sawyer's classic Skyliner on the Gallery in the Car Shows section.  Rick and I were at the 2008 World Finals Drag Race for the final day of the 2008 NHRA drag racing season and were surprised to see Bill Sawyer's car at the front of a line up of cars in the staging lanes waiting to participate in a pre-race cruise in front of the thousands of spectators.  Too bad ESPN didn't include this in their race day television coverage.  Bill's Skyliner will probably be one of the "featured" cars showing at the John Force Holiday show this year.  Last year at the John Force Holiday Show we had 25 of our 57's featured as part of the 50th anniversary of the 57 Fords & Chevys (Brand X only had 18 displayed in the featured car section).  Bill has 3  retractables (two 57's and a 58).  His blue/white 57 was on display at the Peterson Auto Museum for several months last year.  Check out the Gallery and Bill's 57.
