Finally got my 57 and his buddy out of the lower mainland and to their new home. It's bit cramped in a 550 sq.ft. garage but better than nothing until I can start on a proper detached shop.

Your 57 has good taste in friends.

CobraJoe

Agreed, extremely good taste. Does he have any other friends named Shelby?   :003:
When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

Randy,
I have a exercise/therapy program available for the friend and would be happy to help out.

Randy, where did you move to? You must have owned that 70 Boss 429 for at least 40 years by now, right?

Previous 50s Fords include 57 Custom 4 door, 2 57 Ford Sedan Deliveries, 59  Country Sedan, and as a 9 year old, fell in love with the family 58 2 door Ranch Wagon.

Rory, we moved to Summerland just 15 minutes north of Penticton in July. Were quite rural in amongst fruit orchards, winery's  and some country residential. Our property is on about 2.5 acres but only about 1 acre is landscaped, the rest is natural woodland with a brook towards the back. Love it out here.

I've had the Boss for I think around 45 years,77-78? I always remind myself it was only a 7 year old car when I bought it.

Rural is grand. I live between two towns...one in Arkansas, one in Missouri...both 10 miles away. Seven acres of lovely peace and quiet! <sigh>   :006:

Agreed, we moved from "in town" in British Columbia, to rural Nova Scotia 2 years ago, and absolutely love it. We have 8 1/2 acres, but only about 1 acre is actually lawn, the rest is pretty much treed. Like living in the middle of a forest! House is 900 feet from the road, so very quiet, you can`t even see the house from the road, and the closest neighbours house is about 500 feet away. And no way a garage as large as mine would be allowed in town. Nice that there is a good sized town 10 minutes away, so groceries, shopping malls, movie theatres, hospital, restaurants, etc, are a 10 minute drive. So much more relaxing, and light traffic, wish we made the move years earlier. Oh yeah, and 1/2 hour to the local 1/4 mile dragstrip too! And plenty of great car guys around as well.                  Randy, I think the first time I looked at your Boss 429, was at the GVMA Mustang show in New Westminster, in 1982, I believe. Although I did see it once or twice, driving down Kingsway before that.
