The drivers side sunvisor keeps folding down while I'm driving my custom 300, does anyone know how to cure this. Can they be squeezed or hit with a hammer? Thanks Barry

I use a small magnet.
I get a picture and post it.

Bending the arm slightly works also.

To remove the visor from the rod, do you just pull it straight off iv'e never removed one?

Just pull and wiggle it back and forth while pulling, should come right off if its loose enough to keep flopping down.

You may be able to oblong or sandblast the rod to make it rougher, kind of like knurling pistons.

Good luck,

Ron.

Okay...at the risk of getting a horse laugh here...how about applying one layer of duct tape to the rod, then sliding the visor back on?
Don't need to cover the entire rod...probably about the center half would be enough...and should increase the circumference of the rod just enough to make it tight again.

It's a pretty close fit as it is, I think duct tape would be too thick and would just be pushed back when the visor goes back on.
Along those same lines though, maybe a skim coat of JB weld or bondo along the length, and sanded down to the perfect fit.

Might be...but nothing ventured...nothing gained. Would be quick enough to try...and if no luck, then JB it is.

Spray paint the shaft...

What visors?  I set too high in the car to ever need them.  I have them on a shelf somewhere but have never reupholstered them.

Good suggestions, I've had a busy day today maybe Monday I'll try one of those remedies. Thanks

What not to do.
When I got my car, it had Velcro.
