Rebuild transmission around 6 years ago I have notice that whenever I place vehicle in reverse it slams gear, not sure if there's an adjustment I could do to alleviate this problem I'm having with transmission.

I adjusted my engine idle & it worked pretty good. I guess there's a lot more torque on the reverse gear. Thank you.

When you go to reverse you take up all the slack in the trans, yoke, u joints, ring and pinnion. That adds up to a bang with high idle speed.
