I need help with measurements for the power window switch for the front door panels on my 57 Ford 2 door.
I am getting the door panels done soon and lost the original ones.  If anyone has a PW  car please PM me.

I think even the front doors on a 4 door PW car have the same locations.

Abe, not sure what you're asking for. Are you wanting to know where to run the wiring thru the pillar? I ran mine "thru" the oval opening in the pillar, but I didn't actually run the wires thru it, I used a "wireless contact" mounted on an aluminum plate to fit the opening. I'll try to find a pic if needed. Tricky part is mounting the mating contacts in the door at the exact correct location. I've had no issues with the contacts, but the downside is the doors have to be closed to operate the windows. I also used the Ron Francis' fuse position that allows the windows to be operated with ignition off.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Im asking for a clean picture of the door panel, with a couple measuremnt where the gang switch goes in the door panel on the drivers side. maybe how far across from the edge, and how much up from the bottom it goes. I'll try to post a picture later today.

My windows are original wiring and I have the protector sleeves some place also.

It more about the placement onto the door panel itself.

Just a guess, but isn't the switch going to go where the crank handle would be on a non-electric car? Otherwise, Ford would have to have had different door panels.

Rich, for the passenger side that is might assumption also, and will put in that spot, but for the driver side it an enlongated shape, see my image, I roughed these out but will be getting others made soon.

I've got a 2door hardtop with factory power windows and switches still in the door panels. Unfortunately, it in storage at another friends building so I don't have access right now.   I'm going to bring it home but it'll be when the weather warms up some more before I can go get it and bring it to my place.   I'm going to need these dimensions too as I'm converting my Ranchero and Retractable to power windows.

It's too bad that the switches are not where the cranks were as I'll have to redo door panels on the retract and the ranchero panels are new SMS that I ordered years ago.   I here SMS is not taking orders for new panel now, but I think you can source the materials from them as that's what I plan to do with the retract.

Okay guys...here is something to research.
Years ago I ran a across a guy who had a car that the window cranks were actually the electric window switches. I know nothing about this set-up other than a slight lift on the crank sent the windows up, slight touch and they came down.
No idea where the switched came from or how it was se up to work, but the door cranks were in the factory position. I think it was a Mustang but not positive.
Just a little something else to toss in to this mix.  Later...Hugh

Hugh they still sell those switches.  But you can just get real Ford switches.

I was thinking of the hassle of switch locations and such being answered...and maybe concealing the set-up for those who want to retain the stock look.

I dont even have the stock location for the window rollers because my car had PW originally. I do suspec the passenger side is in the same spot at the stock roller, so I might be putting it there and splitting the difference for the other side.

BTW those switch might be junk in the long run, you always find Original OEM switches on ebay, these can be take apart and cleaned.

I have  1957 Skyliner with factory power windows.  I can take those measurements next time I go to my storage where the car is kept.  Let me know.  Dan

Dan. Thanks for the offer.  I just realized I can measure my wagon panels for the cranks position if all else fails.
But would rather have the original positions.

Hello Abe,

Here are the measurements from the door panel edge to the center of the 4 switch panel.  From the hinge side of the door panel edge to the center of the 4 gang switch assembly is 8" and from the bottom edge of the panel at the door bottom to the switch center is 14 1/4"  I hope that helps.  This is on a 1957 Skyliner with factory power windows.

Thanks Dan.  Will check it out tomorrow. I'm missing two of my power switch clips.  They hold the bezel to the back of the door panel. But will look at making some.  I found a few sellers but they end up being near 25.00 for two tiny clips.  I might have have them in my stash anyhow.

This helps a lot.  If you can do the other side.  Just as double check it would be cool too.
