Marks on my windshield and back window

Several years ago, when I removed the windshield and back window from my car, I covered them with a moving blancket.  When I uncovered them, I found the blanket had imprinted on both.

My question, does anyone have any suggestions to remove the blanket imprint?  I have tried 0000 steel wool but had no success.

Terry, try lacquer thinner. Or paint remover.

Did it get wet?  Water and impurities might have caused the stain.  My Edsel had staining on the back window.  Nothing cleaned it off.  Thought about it for a while and tried CLR (I think the name) a calcium dissolver and poof....gone.

Bill is correct..... try CLR.... wear gloves.. rubber gloves.... It will remove a bunch. then clean with water after.

Thanks for the CLR suggestion.  I tried it on a small portion of the back light/window. It seemed to clear the marks with litte effort.

CLR is God's gift to mankind! when I bought my apartment building I used that stuff by the truck load! Saved me a ton of $$$!  :003:

I have a similar issue on my back glass. I have tried many things but never thought about CLR. I use CLR on just about everything I dig up metal detecting and its great stuff. Thanks Terry and Bill for the problem and solution.
