I was just out working on my recently aquired 57 Skyliner. The car has an aftermarket rad which seems to work really well. I think it may be wider than the original. I also have an external Tranny oil cooler, the type that is shaped like a long tube with lots of fins. I have just discovered that the rad has the fittings to attach the transmission cooling lines to but it is not in use. Now I can rig something up to pressure test that cooler. My question is would the radiator cooler be a better solution in the long run? I don't seem to have any transmission problems. The fluid is pink and doesn't smell off. I guess I could hook up both coolers in series.
