Door seal install

I am attempting to install new door seals. I have a few questions before I begins glueing them.

Does this look to be the correct placement around the "A" pillar?

The Dennis Carpenter seal that I have seems to be just a mass of rubber in this area which appears to me to have the molded corners bent the wrong direction.  Can someone give me guidance.

In my opinion, with the molded bends laying properly, the seal needs to be rotated 90 degrees to seal correctly around the rest of the door.  Is this correct?  Has anyone else noticed this or am I over thinking it?

As is visible in the second picture, I've been "practicing" aligning the door.

Thanks for any and all feedback!

I would take it loose from the tape and let it relax some.  There should not be a twist in the seal.  This shot is the "fat" part as it should lay in front of the vent.  Hope this helps.

Thank you.  That's what I was looking for.

The seal glued in easily after straightening it out.
