door hinge rebuild

I bought hinge rebuild parts from dearbourn classics, they sent along springs about 3 inches long and about 3/4 inches accross. I don't see these in my hinges (ranchero) anywhere. Also I have a spring clip on the lower hinge, which pushes out on plastic wear blocks-looks like they help hold open the door. Should these be replaced?  Mark
