Eye brow holding studs

Hello Members  Holding studs on eye brows treads are eroded away and brackets that protrude  (for holding nuts to tighten too)are missing. Anyone have any suggestions way too fix. Looking a other cars I noticed  sheet metal screws from outside. Someone  mention tapping and installing  studs which looks to me almost imposable because angles small stud bases.  Thinking of epoxy sleaves to base of studs then figure out a way to tighten. Anyone been down this road?

There is an old Ford bulletin regarding this.  The fix was to drill 3 or 4 (I don't remember how many, I used 3) holes in the eyebrow and front of the fender, countersinking the holes, and using oval head plated trim screws to secure the eyebrow, then painting the screw heads to match the fender color.  I just left mine unpainted.   John

Thanks John. That  fix I have noticed. I was concerned there was enough metal for countersinking, guess so.

I used panel adhesive to mount mine, completely sealed the back side with seal sealer and painted the area with 2K and some single stage black left over from an old project.  Worked out very well, no sign of failure of any kind.  About four years ago.
