station wagon door,tailgate locks

hey folks. getting ready to rehab my door ,tailgate and ignition locks on the bermuda. do wagons use 1 key for all,or are there 2 keys.(door&ignition,tailgate&glovebox) have 3 sets of locks,but NO keys!! have uncut edsel key blanks that seem to fit all the cylinders thanks gerald

Door and ignition, glove box and gate.  Your door cylinder from the passenger side should have a code on it, that's for the key.  Do not remember where the code is for the gate/trunk/glove box.

Having no keys is not a lost cause. When I was moving out of Colorado to Texas, I apparently packed the keys to my '57 in one of our boxes. I had to call a locksmith so we could drive the car over to a storage facility. He had a new key made (filed by hand) in less than 1/2 hour!

That's how it'd work on sedans, coupes aso.

wagons are different. ignition only one key ( square head), all others ( including doors, tailgate and glove box) the round head key.

Think of it like that. if you can unlock any door on a wagon, you can also get inside the trunk ( ie cargo area). that is why the same key locks all the stuff except the ign. on a wgn.

Lucky your we able to get done this way recently in the last 4-5 years this is become a lost art.  Now they say get a whole new tumbler lock set.  At least in Los Angles.  Someone that can file a key by hand is few and far between.

Thanks for the clarification DJ.  I had only one Ranch wagon, not sure if it was originally configured but what you said makes sense.
