I had planned on a building a '57 gasser before I finally pulled the trigger on my Fairlane. The only thing that stopped me was the new inspection in Massachusetts.

This is Al Dixon's 58 Chero.... He is the brother of the Gasser I posted in #1233/#1234.... Both cars have been restored and were terrors back in the early 60's.

Haha.....I was gonna post something like........no way.......Had to either be a put-on or a really really small town that used what they had except it says "highway patrol", not sheriff. Even the signage/logo on the door looks bogas. Maybe kids making a movie?
Maybe he'll have "the rest of the story". (I saw the Paul Harvey Dealer's name on one of the cars.........reminded me of THE Paul Harvey, sure miss him)

Don't seem to make much sense does it.
Had to take a look & searched for Ohio highway patrol cars in 1957.  I guess that logo on the door is for real.

It also seems odd to me that they used some 2 door cars instead of 4 doors.

I just figured it out; after a drunk throws up in the back your squad car, what better way to air it out?? Just saying.
